A 68-year-old Long Island man was killed after being hit by a commercial vehicle backing up in a parking lot in Nesconset.
Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating the crash that killed the pedestrian around 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 21 in the parking lot of the Handy Pantry at 279 Smithtown Boulevard, said Suffolk County police.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police added.
